Adding the bot to your server

Before Cordavix can go to work on your Discord server, the bot first has to be invited. This applies regardless of whether you later want to use the main Cordavix bot or a custom, connected bot of your own.

Requirements

On the target server you need the "Manage Server" permission, administrator rights, or you must be the server owner. Without that permission, Discord will not even offer the server for selection when you send the invite.

Starting the invitation

In the dashboard you will find an "Add bot" button in the server list next to every server that is not yet managed. Alternatively you can call /invite directly at any time. Both take you to the official Discord invite page with the predefined permissions that Cordavix needs for its modules (e.g. manage roles, send messages, create channels for tickets/temp voice).

Selecting and confirming the server

On the Discord page, choose the server you want from the list and confirm the permissions shown. Discord shows you transparently which rights the bot receives – you can restrict individual, non-essential permissions again later at any time via the Discord server settings, but you should be aware that individual modules will then work in a limited way.

After the invitation

As soon as the invitation is confirmed, the server appears automatically in your server list in the dashboard – a manual refresh is not normally necessary. Click the server to begin setting it up: basic settings (language, time zone, log channel) and then the modules you want.

Removing the bot again

You can remove the bot at any time directly via the Discord server settings ("Members" → remove bot) or by kicking it from the server. Your configuration in the dashboard is retained for a certain period in case you invite the bot again later – it is not deleted irreversibly straight away.

Multiple servers

There is no fixed upper limit on how many servers you can invite Cordavix to in principle; individual premium features are, however, licensed per server and have to be enabled and paid for separately there. Every server is configured independently – settings are not transferred automatically between servers.
