Setting up the ticket system

The ticket module lets members open a private support channel with your team at the click of a button.

1. Enable the module

First enable the ticket system for your server in the "Modules" section, if you have not already done so.

2. Create a ticket panel

Switch to the "Tickets" section and create a new panel. A panel consists of a title, a description, the target channel for new tickets and the roles that should be given access to the tickets created (your moderation team, for example). You can create several panels for different concerns (for example "Support", "Application", "Report").

3. Publish the panel

Via "Publish", Cordavix posts a message with a button in the chosen channel. When a member clicks the button, the bot automatically opens a new ticket channel visible to that member and your team.

4. Handling tickets

You will find all open and closed tickets in the ticket list in the dashboard, with status and filtering options. In the respective Discord channel your team can communicate directly with the member; you can close a ticket either in the channel via a command or in the dashboard.

5. Transcripts

An HTML transcript is generated for every closed ticket, which can be accessed via its own unguessable link – handy for being able to follow the course of the conversation even after the channel has been deleted, for example for handovers within the team or for documentation purposes.

Limits by plan

How many ticket panels you can run at the same time depends on your server's Premium tier; you can see the current limit directly when creating a new panel. Free servers can usually run a single panel.

Practical tips

  • Restrict access to ticket channels to your team in order to protect the

privacy of the members making enquiries.

  • Use different panels for different topics, so that enquiries land

straight away with the right part of the team.

  • Check the ticket list in the dashboard regularly so as not to miss open

enquiries, especially when several people on the team have access.
