Delete your account

You can irreversibly delete your Cordavix account and the data associated with it yourself at any time.

Preview before deletion

Open "Account → Delete account". The dashboard first shows you a preview of what deletion will involve – such as which servers, bots and subscriptions are affected – before you confirm anything permanently.

Requesting deletion

To actually request deletion, you have to type a specified confirmation text exactly and confirm your login credentials again (re-authentication). This prevents accidental deletion or deletion triggered by third parties.

Cancellation period

Once you have submitted the request, a cancellation period begins (usually 14 days). During this time your account is locked, but the deletion request can be withdrawn again at any time in the same section if you change your mind – your account is then reactivated as normal.

What happens once the period ends

After the cancellation period expires, an automated process carries out the final deletion: your bot access, connected Bot Tokens and personal profile data are removed or anonymised. Billing records that are subject to a statutory retention obligation are kept separately from the rest of your profile – so they are no longer displayed linked to your name, but for legal reasons they cannot be deleted entirely straight away.

Your own servers and bots

Server-related data is technically tied to the respective Discord server; if you delete your account, you lose access to it through your account, but the server itself remains on Discord. Your own bot instances connected to your account are stopped and their tokens removed.

Before you delete: data export

If you would like to back up your data beforehand, you can request an export of your account data under "Account → Data export" (as a structured file, without passwords or tokens) – this export is available for download for a limited time.

Alternative: just cancel the subscription

If you only want to end a subscription but otherwise keep your account, cancelling is enough – see the "Cancel subscription" guide. Deleting your account is intended solely for the case where you want to leave Cordavix entirely.
