Common problems

An overview of typical problems and how you can usually solve them yourself.

The bot does not respond on the server

First check under "Your servers" in the dashboard whether the bot is marked as installed. For your own bots (Bring Your Own Bot), look at the status in the bot section – with "Invalid token" you need to store the token again (see the guide "Storing your bot token"), and with "Intents missing" you are still lacking the necessary privileged intents (see the guide "Enabling intents").

The level system or AutoMod does not take effect

These modules require the "Message Content Intent". For your own bots, check in the Discord Developer Portal whether this intent is enabled, and then restart your bot instance.

The welcome message or automatic role assignment is missing

These features require the "Server Members Intent". Without it, the bot does not receive complete information about members joining – enable the intent in the Developer Portal (only relevant for your own bots).

"Payment required" / bot instance paused

If a subscription for your own bot expires, the instance is paused after a grace period. Check under "Account → Billing" whether a payment has failed, and update your payment method via the customer portal if necessary.

Sign-in fails / account locked

After several incorrect sign-in attempts, an account is temporarily locked. Wait for the time shown or reset your password via "Forgot password". If two-factor authentication is active and you no longer have access to your authenticator app, use one of your backup codes.

The Discord account cannot be linked

A Discord account can only ever be connected to exactly one Cordavix account. If the dashboard reports that the Discord account is already connected, check whether you have accidentally created a second Cordavix account.

The voucher code is rejected

Check for typing errors and capitalisation. Codes can also be limited in time, limited in quantity, or tied to certain plans or accounts – the error message shown when redeeming usually states the reason.

The server does not appear in the dashboard

Make sure that you actually hold the "Manage Server" permission, administrator rights or ownership on the Discord server – only such servers are shown in the dashboard.
