Getting started with Cordavix

Welcome to Cordavix! This guide takes you from your first visit to a fully set-up server in just a few minutes.

1. Create an account or sign in

You can either sign in with your Discord account (recommended if you want to manage Cordavix on your servers straight away) or register a separate Cordavix account with an email address and password. Both routes lead to the same dashboard – an account created with an email address can be linked to Discord at any time later on. You will find details in the guides "Creating an account" and "Connecting Discord".

2. Invite the bot to your server

For Cordavix to become active on a server, the bot has to be invited. Click "Add bot" in the dashboard or simply run /invite – this opens the official Discord permissions page. You need the "Manage Server" permission on the server in question. After the invitation, the server appears automatically in your server list in the dashboard.

3. Select a server in the dashboard

Under "Your servers" you can see all the Discord servers on which you are allowed to manage Cordavix. Click a server to open its configuration. Servers without the bot installed show an "Add bot" button instead.

4. Enable modules

Cordavix has a modular design: moderation, tickets, the level system, economy, AutoMod and many other features can be switched on and off independently of one another. To do so, open the "Modules" section in the server dashboard and enable whatever you need. Some modules are only available from a certain plan upwards – this is shown directly on the respective tile.

5. Check the basic settings

Under "Settings" you can define the language, time zone, embed colour, the bot's nickname as well as the log and welcome channels. These values determine how Cordavix presents itself on your server and where logs end up.

6. Connect your own bot (optional)

From the Pro plan upwards you can use your own Discord bot, with its own name and avatar, instead of the Cordavix main bot. The setup for this is described in the guide "Creating your own bot".
